Denver Nuggets reportedly acquire Cavs’ JaVale McGee

Denver Nuggets is acquiring the Cleveland Cavaliers’ center Javale McGee, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Denver sent Isaiah Hartenstein and two second-round picks to Cleveland.

The Nuggets cover a huge roster deficiency with McGee, who will be the back-up center behind MVP candidate Nikola Jokic.

The veteran center is on $4.6M expiring deal as the Cleveland Cavaliers secured more future assets for their rebuilding process.

McGee averages 8.0 points and 5.9 rebounds in 15 minutes per contest through 33 games this season. He was also a member of the Los Angeles Lakers’ team that won the NBA title last season.
