Despite some of the NBA world being cautious about his potential, Luka Doncic took the league by storm. The Slovenian guard won the Rookie of the Year award in his first season in the NBA.

The next year, he was already an MVP candidate as he helped the Dallas Mavericks return to the playoffs. It is just his third year in the league, but Doncic is already an elite player, highly regarded by his peers.

Mark Cuban, the owner of the Mavericks, is excited to have the 22-year-old point guard on his team. He shared a story how Doncic made improvements on his game since entering the league in 2018.

“After his Rookie Year I asked Luka Doncic what he would add to his game. He said “Finishing at the basket w/my left hand”. He became a top 10 finisher in the NBA.

Asked him the same thing after last yr. He said “shooting” Can’t wait to see what comes next!!!” Cuban shared his excitement in response to a video of Luka making 8 out of 9 three-pointers versus the Portland Trail Blazers.

Doncic is averaging 29 points, 8.4 rebounds and 9.2 assists per game this season. His stats are improving month by month. In both February and March, he is averaging over 30 points per game.
