Frank Vogel is optimistic about the short-handed Lakers, despite their 94-111 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

Vogel, the head coach of the Lakers, gave credit to his players for their performance, as they were forced to play without their superstar duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

“I’m proud how we competed. I’m optimistic. I think our guys really fought tonight,” Vogel told reporters, via Kyle Goon of Southern California News Group.

After their loss to Phoenix (28-13), the Lakers dropped to 28-15, but remained third in the Western Conference.
