Los Angeles Lakers are looking to add depth to the guard position ahead of the 2021 trade deadline, per ESPN’s Brian Windhorst.
“The Lakers have been involved in some talks for a guard,” Windhorst said. He also referred to Andre Drummond and the possibility of joining Frank Vogel’s team.

“Their big play is if Andre Drummond gets bought out from the Cleveland Cavaliers. They’re hoping to be at the front of the line to get Andre Drummond.
It’s not going to help in the short term with their ball-handling but could help their scoring if [LeBron James] and [Anthony Davis] are out for a while.”
LeBron James was sidelined indefinitely due to a high ankle sprain. At the top of that, Anthony Davis remains out with a right calf strain.
Without James, the two top ball-handlers for the Lakers are Dennis Schröder and Alex Caruso. On the other hand, Andre Drummond could definitely become a valuable member of the LA franchise.
He averaged 17.5 points and 13.5 rebounds per game for the Cavs before the franchise shut him down in hope of shipping him via trade.
