Mire Chatman (Higher Vision Sports) who made history three weeks ago and became the Eurocup’s All Time Leading Scorer as well as maintaining the highest index rating from any player in Eurocup history plans to retire at the conclusion of his club’s Eurocup season tomorrow night in Ventspils against Stelmet Gora.

Chatman announced his decision to the team after the recent Eurocup loss against his former team Karsiyaka in Izmir Turkey.

“I want to thank Ventspils for giving me this one last opportunity and I thank all the coaches, teams, teammates and opponents I played with and against. I thank in particular Coach Duda Ivkovic who I won the Eurocup championship with and Ralf Pleinics the general manager of BK Ventspils who gave me my first opportunity and my last opportunity.

I truly never imagined having a career like this and I am very thankful. I look forward to getting back involved into basketball at some point in the future but my job now will be to be a Father to my two children. I’ve been away from them way too long. Thanks to all,” said Mire Chatman.
