Luka Doncic went off with 42 points as he led the Dallas Mavericks to a win over the Los Angeles Clippers. The 22-year-old Slovenian was the top scorer of the game and also the only player for the Mavs to have more than 15 in this game. He also provided plenty of highlight reel-worthy plays, including one against Paul George.

Afterwards, Kendrick Perkins took to Twitter to praise Doncic’s performance. He has previously said Luka needs to win more games to prove he is worthy of the hype that surrounds him.

“Well excuse the hell outta me Luka!!! That was one hell of a performance that displayed tonight dropping a 42 piece wing dinner lemon pepper style on the Clippers with extra ranch on the side,” former NBA champion tweeted.

This season, which is his third in the league, Doncic is averaging close to a triple-double with 28.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 9.3 assists per game. Dallas is currently in the 8th place in the Western Conference.
