The Los Angeles Lakers small forward Jared Dudley says he will not pursue surgery on his torn MCL, as it would keep him out 4-6 months.
He says he will continue to rehab around the team. Dudley hopes to be healthy by the playoffs, to provide spot minutes.
“My value to his team is not playing. … My value is the locker room, the bus, the plane,” the veteran said.
Dudley, 35, has appeared in only 11 games this season, playing a total of 76 minutes. He was part of the Lakers 2019/20 championship roster, serving as a valuable locker room leader and appearing in 45 contests.
