Los Angeles Clippers are looking to add a point guard ahead of the trade deadline hoping to improve the team for the postseason.

According to Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, Terry Rozier is drawing ‘strong internal interest’ from the LA franchise, while Ricky Rubio and George Hill are also in the mix for a potential trade proposal.

“There continues to be strong internal interest in Terry Rozier, who is having a breakout season in Charlotte. Rubio and Oklahoma City’s George Hill are in play, too. An obvious issue: L.A. has limited draft capital to sweeten any deal.”

Patrick Beverley is a solid piece for the Clippers, however his offensive limitations could be a crucial setback in the playoffs. At the same time, Lou Williams is more valuable as a scoring option coming off the bench.

Charlotte is in the playoff contention this season thanks to Rozier’s breakout year playing alongside Gordon Hayward and LaMelo Ball.

Rozier is averaging a career-best 20.4 points per game while shooting 43.0 percent from the three-point range. He should be able to become the third scoring option behind superstars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George.

The Clippers could go against any team with the current talent in their roster, however players like Rozier, Hill or Rubio could provide extra spark, especially against the upper echelon of the Western Conference.
