Kings willing to move Harrison Barnes only for ‘a strong return’, per report

Sacramento Kings are pretty far away from playoff contention this season being 13th in the Western Conference with a 15-23 record.

As a result, several players could be available in potential deals ahead of the trade deadline. In that case, Harrison Barnes could be among the Kings’ players to attract interest.

According to James Ham of NBC Sports, Sacramento will have to get a strong return to move Barnes in the trade deadline.

According to sources, McNair is well aware of the value that Barnes brings to the Kings both on and off the court and he also knows how difficult it would be to replace him, be it on the open market in free agency or via trade.

If the Kings move off of Barnes, they will need a very strong return, which would include picks and a player that is ready to play major minutes now.

The 2015 NBA champion with the Warriors is having one of the most efficient seasons of his career averaging 16.7 points on 49-percent shooting from the field.

He also registers 6.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per contest shooting nearly 38 percent from deep. Barnes is the veteran leader of the young Sacramento Kings and his value is in an all-time high.

The Boston Celtics reportedly could be one of the teams that could be interested in acquiring the veteran forward. However, the Kings are not going to move Barnes, unless they have a really strong offer at their disposal.
