Yet another veteran will no longer be with his team until a trade deal is find and his future is resolved. According to The Athletic, PJ Tucker and the Houston Rockets agreed that the 35-year-old forward will remain away from the team while the search for a trade partner is ongoing.

This season, Tucker is averaging 4.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game. It is the final year of his contract. Both sides want to part ways as it is the last year of the contract for Tucker, who wants to join a contender, and the Rockets want to get something in return instead of just letting him go in the summer as an unrestricted free agent.

One of potential destinations for Tucker is the Philadelphia 76ers. According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the veteran forward would ‘relish’ reuniting with former Rockets general manager Daryl Morey at the Sixers.

Recently, Blake Griffin went through a similar process. After failing to find a trade, the Pistons bought out his contract enabling him to join the Brooklyn Nets as a free agent. LaMarcus Aldridge of the San Antonio Spurs is also expected to be traded or bought out.
