Real Madrid and FC Barcelona square off on Thursday night in the fifth El Clasico of the season and the second one in the EuroLeague.

FC Barcelona is on top of the standings, with a 20-8 record, and became the first team that reached the 20-win mark.

If the Catalans defeat the “Whites”, they will earn their fourth victory against Real this season (3-1) and will become the first team to officially qualify for the playoffs.

On the other hand, Real Madrid is sixth on the table, with a 17-11 record. The hosts have struggled lately, having lost three of their last five EuroLeague games.

The clash between Real Madrid and FC Barcelona is the Game of the Week for the EuroLeague, however Pau Gasol will not make his debut with the “Blaugrana”.

The European and NBA legend is medically cleared to play, but has to work on his physical condition, as he hasn’t played since 2019.
