LaMarcus Aldridge and Spurs have mutually agreed to part ways

The San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich says the team is working on trade scenarios for big man LaMarcus Aldridge:

“We’ve mutually agreed for him to work on some opportunities elsewhere … He’s done everything we’ve asked. At this point, we’d just like to do something that will work for him as much for our club, because he deserves that.”

The Miami Heat are one of several teams that are discussing trade scenarios with the Spurs for Aldridge.

In his sixth season with the Spurs, the center is currently averaging 13.7 points and 4.5 rebounds in 25.9 minutes per game – his lowest averages in those categories since his rookie season.
