Phoenix Suns’ superstar Devin Booker was sidelined due to a knee issue prior to the All-Star Game. As a result, he missed the contest between Team LeBron and Team Durant on Sunday.

The Suns’ general manager James Jones said Devin Booker could’ve played if it was a bigger occasion such as the postseason.

“He’s good,” Jones said Tuesday afternoon, during an interview with The Arizona Republic. “We’ll re-evaluate it. He could’ve played if he had to. If it’s the playoffs, he would’ve been playing, but it’s not. It’s an All-Star game.”

The Suns preferred a cautious approach as the team prepares to start the second part of the 2020/21 season campaign on Thursday vs. Portland.

Booker has been listed as day-to-day as the two-time All-Star sprained his knee in the first half of Phoenix’s 120-98 victory over Golden State.

The Suns finished the first part of the season with the second best record (24-11) in the West only behind the league’s best Utah Jazz (27-9).
