Last season, the Miami Heat exceeded all expectations by going all the way to the NBA Finals where they lost the series to the Los Angeles Lakers. The runners-up of the league had a rather rough start this year. It took them a while a climb to the sixth place in the Eastern Conference.

Miami suffered 18 losses this season. But, one, in particular, hurt the team’s veteran Udonis Haslem. The 40-year-old forward, who has not appeared in a single game this season, remembered an overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors as a defeat that was tough to go through.

“That Golden State game hurt,” Haslem said via Anthony Chiang of Miami Herald as reported by ClutchPoints. “I’m not kidding, I slept in my sweatsuit. I woke up the next morning and I had my clothes on and I still had my hoodie over my head, I took that one hard. That was a tough one. … I think collectively, everybody had hit bottom at that time.”

In that game, the Heat held a 15-point lead at the half time, but lost the remaining two quarters and the overtime. Miami lost the fourth quarter by 10 points which took to the game to overtime where the Dubs were comfortable and won by 8 points.
