Lakers ‘welcome’ the All-Star break, says Frank Vogel

The Los Angeles Lakers will use the All-Star break in order to take some much-needed rest, according to head coach Frank Vogel.

As Vogel says, the Lakers ‘welcome’ the All-Star break, which will help them regroup and overcome the issues they are dealing with.

“Eight days does feel like a long time, for me in particular it feels that way, but I think our group is welcoming this break. We’re only going to have one practice before we start playing games again, so the not deconditioning and the making sure that guys are able to get appropriate work in the two or three days leading up to our return, that’s an important part of this break here.

But definitely a welcome break for all of us,” Vogel told reporters, via Lakers Nation.

The Lakers struggled in the last part of the first half of the season, losing seven of their last 10 games. The defending champions dropped to third in the West, at 24-13.
