Former Knick Larry Hughes talked about his short, but wild ride in New York with Ryan Hollins & Brendan Haywood. He said that preparation was something Mike D’Antoni’s Knicks lacked, especially during their pregame shootarounds. Hughes remembers his longest shootaround with New York being only eight minutes long.

(Via The Opinionated 7 Footers):

“The longest one was 8 minutes that I actually timed. It was 8 minutes almost to the T, it was like 7:59. For me, it’s like, what are we doing? We’re coming in early for a shootaround that’s going to last seven minutes, and then we don’t play until seven o’clock, seven-thirty some nights. So I’m like, ‘What are we doing?’ So you know what I did? Stopped going to shootaround.”
