Charlotte Hornets’ owner Michael Jordan admitted LaMelo Ball has exceeded the franchise’s expectations for this season. Ball has a great start to his NBA career, as he steadily becomes a huge part of the Hornets’ winning run this season.

“I think Melo has adjusted to the NBA game better than any of us ever thought this early in his career,” the Hornets owner told the AssociatedThe rookie averages Press in an email. “He has exceeded our expectations so far this season.”

Two teams passed the young point guard in the 2021 NBA Draft to fall all the way to No.3 and the Charlotte Hornets. The rookie averages 15.8 points shooting nearly 45 percent from the field and almost 38 percent from deep.

He also adds 6.3 assists and 6.0 rebounds in 28.9 minutes per contest. The Hornets have the sixth best record (17-18) in the East in the conclusion of the first part of the season.
