Sports analyst Skip Bayless, who tends to criticize LeBron James, weighed in on the Los Angeles Lakers star’s MVP case. According to him, the four-time NBA champion failed to take advantage on Anthony Davis’ injury to solidify his status as the favorite to win the award.

“I can’t even rank LeBron in the Top 5 of MVP,” Bayless said on UNDISPUTED. “Unless you want to make the narrative case that he’s having the greatest Year 18 season of anybody ever. But that’s not reason to make him MVP of the league.”

At the age of 36 James is averaging 25.8 points, 8 rebounds and 7.8 assists in 34.2 minutes per game for the Lakers this season.
