LEBRON WANTS AN ‘I CAN’T BREATHE’ TEE
Could LeBron wear the same t-shirt that Chicago Bulls star Derrick Rose wore against the Golden State Warriors later on tonight?

Rose warmed up in the shirt Saturday before Chicago played Golden State. It refers to a New York man who died July 17 after a police officer placed him in a chokehold when he was being arrested for selling loose, untaxed cigarettes.
A recording of the arrest showed Eric Garner gasping, “I can’t breathe” during the fatal encounter, and thousands have protested a grand jury decision not to indict the officer since the announcement on Wednesday.
“It was spectacular,” James said of the shirt. “I loved it. I’m looking for one.”
Asked if he would wear one Monday when Cleveland visited the Brooklyn Nets, James said: “It’s possible.”

“It’s not a Cavs thing,” James said before the game. “It’s a worldly thing.”
On several occasions in the past couple weeks, James has spoken out about the deaths of Mike Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, and Tamir Rice in Cleveland. Like Garner, Brown and Rice were both African-American males that died because of a confrontation with a police officer.
“It’s just for us to make a [statement] to understand what we’re going through as a society,” James said when asked about the T-shirt. “I’ve been quoted over and over about what’s going on as far as it’s more of a notion to the family, more than anything. Obviously, as a society we have to do better. We have to be better for one another. It doesn’t matter what race you are. It’s more of a shout out to the family more than anything, because they’re the ones that should be getting all the energy and effort.”
BROOK LOPEZ TO MISS A WEEK WITH STRAINED BACK
After returning to action not so long ago, Brook Lopez finds himself back on the sidelines.
We’re aware that we let this slip a little but Lopez is out for the Cavs game.

The Nets said Sunday that Lopez would miss their game Monday against Cleveland and that he would be re-evaluated in a week.
Lopez had played well in recent games after struggling earlier this season in his return from surgery to repair a broken foot. He scored 20 points Friday against Atlanta and had 16 points and 16 rebounds two nights earlier in a victory over San Antonio.
He is averaging 16.1 points and 6.2 rebounds.
CURRY: LACOB’S CRITICISM OF JACKSON DISTRACTING

Following Lacob’s public apology for taking issue with Jackson’s management skills, Curry told reporters: “I think it’s unfortunate, just the distraction from what is going on right now. Obviously, we’re playing well, and you can nitpick of what’s the difference between this year and last year, but you’re talking about two great coaches [in Jackson and current coach Steve Kerr].”
Curry spoke at shootaround before Monday night’s game in Minnesota, where the Warriors will try to add to the team record book with an eighth consecutive road win.
At a luncheon for venture capitalists on Dec. 3, Lacob said, referring to Jackson’s firing, that “part of it was that he couldn’t get along with anybody else in the organization. And look, he did a great job, and I’ll always compliment him in many respects, but you can’t have 200 people in the organization not like you.”
Lacob apologized on Sunday via email to Bay Area News Group.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for Mark Jackson and what he accomplished as our head coach. He did a terrific job,” Lacob wrote, according to the news outlet. “I’ve said that many times over the last several months and in recent days, including at this week’s event. I was asked to draw comparisons earlier this week between building businesses in the tech world and the sports world, and unfortunately, I used some poor judgment. That’s my mistake. I did attempt to reach out to Mark on Friday, and I certainly apologize for my comments and any unintended harm. I know that Mark will succeed again in this business.”
Of Lacob, Curry said: “For him to apologize is a big gesture.”

As you can see from the segment, which recently aired on CSNNE but appears to have been filmed during the preseason, there is far from a consensus on who slots in at that third spot.
Kobe Bryant joined James and Durant on Marcus Thornton’s and James Young’s lists. Evan Turner chose pre-broken leg Paul George. Marcus Smart admitted “the third one is up for grabs right now.”
But the most interesting response came from the Celtics’ best player, Rajon Rondo. […] “The top three NBA players in the league right now,” the point guard said, “I would have to say Rajon Rondo, LeBron James and Kevin Durant.”
