The Los Angeles Lakers were dealt a big blow as they lost superstar Anthony Davis due to an injury. His is expected to return to action later in March.
According to sports analyst Nick Wright, Davis is necessary for the Lakers to defend their title this season. However, he is confident that AD will be ready to go when the time comes.
“The Lakers can’t win the title without Anthony Davis,” Wright said on First Things First. “I do think they can win the West without AD — they could beat the Suns, Clippers and Jazz. But AD is going to be there.”
The 27-year-old forward is averaging 22.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 3 assists per game this season for the reigning NBA champions.
