The Phoenix Suns All-Star guard Devin Booker was ejected midway through the third quarter in a game versus the Los Angeles Lakers.

At that point, the Suns had a 7-point lead over the Lakers. Even without Booker, Phoenix managed to secure the win by ten points. With this win, the Suns climbed to the second place in the Western Conference, topping the Lakers.

After the game, the Lakers’ head coach Frank Vogel was asked about what impact Booker’s ejection had on the game. “I don’t know if there’s a big effect other than we felt like we had an opportunity to win a game that we were down in,” he said.

“It didn’t play out that way. But like I said, that lineup that’s really been the most effective lineup for them of late with or without Devin Booker, has been with Chris Paul out there and no bigs, Saric out there at the five.

“We knew it was still going to be an uphill battle, still going to be a challenge. Just fell short.”
