LeBron James on studying his opponents

LeBron James has one of the best basketball minds among players in the NBA. He prepares for each opponent by watching tapes of their games.

As a result of that, the four-time champion is often able to anticipate plays of the opposing team before they happen.

Following the Lakers’ win over the Warriors, he talked about his preparation for facing other teams and how it helps him defensively. “It puts you in front of… it gives you an opportunity to be ahead of some plays as well,” James said.

“Some of it is reading reacting out. But to be able to be in a position where you can be there before the actual action takes the place because you broke down the film and you watched it helps out a lot.”
