Markieff Morris opened up about the mindset of the Los Angeles Lakers that led to the blowout win over the Golden State Warriors (91-117).

Morris said the Lakers wanted to take control from the opening tip and keep playing at very high standards for the entire game.

“We wanted to make our mark early and just keep our foot on their neck throughout the game,” Morris told Mike Trudell of Spectrum Sportsnet.

Morris was a starter for a third straight game for the Lakers and had 13 points, eight rebounds and four assists.
