Pistons reportedly among teams interested in Nets’ Spencer Dinwiddie

Brooklyn Nets could be interested in deadline upgrades, as ESPN reported earlier this week, and Spencer Dinwiddie could be among the players that could attract interest.

According to Ian Begley of SNY.tv, the Detroit Pistons are interested in acquiring Spencer Dinwiddie from the Brooklyn Nets, if he becomes available.

Dinwiddie is recovering from a partially torn right ACL, and it’s highly unlikely that he will be able to help the Nets later in the season.

Dinwiddie has a $12.3 million player option for 2021-22 with Brooklyn. Last season, Dinwiddie started 49 games while Kyrie Irving was sidelined due to injury, and he averaged 20.8 points and 6.8 assists for the Nets.

Dinwiddie spent his first two years of his NBA career in Detroit playing in 46 games with the Pistons’ uniform. Detroit is in a rebuilding mode this season having the second worst record in the league.
