Nets’ Steve Nash praises Luka Doncic before game vs. Mavericks

Brooklyn Nets are set to face the Mavericks on Saturday’s prime time and Steve Nash had high praise for Luka Doncic prior to the game.

Ahead of the game at Barclays Center, the Nets’ head coach is preparing to face the all-around game of the wonderkid from Slovenia.

“You look at Luka, he poses every challenge in the book. He scores, he draws fouls, he makes plays for teammates at an incredibly elite level,” Nash said, per Brad Townsend.

In 30 games so far, Doncic is pretty dominant leading Dallas in several statistical categories putting up 28.5 points on 47.4 percent shooting from the field and 35.3 percent from long distance, along with 8.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists.

He would have been among the favorites to win the MVP award, if the Mavericks didn’t have so many ups and downs in their play this season.

Regardless, Steve Nash will need to find a plan to stop Doncic from exploiting Brooklyn’s defense with his complete offensive game.
