The rivalry between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics is decades old. Even though it has been 11 years since the two teams met in the NBA Finals, the animosity remains strong. James Worthy’s birthday was the latest example of that.
The three-time NBA champion turned 60 years old and had a special celebration in Spectrum SportsNet’s studio. Worthy smashed photos of his old foes Larry Bird and Danny Aigne, two Celtics legends.
During Worthy’s time with the Lakers, they faced Boston three times in the Finals. Los Angeles won two of those series.
