Golden State Warriors’ president Bob Myers talked on James Wiseman’s fit with the team’s current squad. He compared the rookie big to Klay Thompson, when he referred to his willingness to put the ball in the basket.

After returning from a wrist injury, which cost him 11 games, Wiseman played vs. the Knicks on Tuesday and scored 16 points in less than 14 minutes.

(via NBC Sports):

“I love that he’s aggressive to score,” Myers said of Wiseman, per Ethan Strauss of The Athletic. “A lot of big guys have more of a laissez-faire attitude with scoring. I like that he’s a little like the big-man version of Klay. He’s thirsty, thirsty to score.”

The former Memphis big has so much potential as a rim-running center, however his skillset expands to more areas having the ability to run the floor, especially in the fast break.

Wiseman is averaging 12.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game coming off the bench this season. His per 36 stats are even more impressive averaging 21.3 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks.

At the top of that, he really shoots a promising 40.9 percent from deep showing the potential to expand his game further in his limited shooting attempts from three this season.
