Former Phoenix Sun DJ Strawberry only played one year in the NBA, but did get a chance to go up against Laker legend Kobe Bryant. Strawberry remembers checking into the game to guard Bryant and instantly taking a charge. He then began to talk smack, which didn’t end so well for the rookie.

“I look at our bench in front of Raja Bell and all them saying ‘He’s not that real!’ We’re walking down the court, he pats me on my butt and says ‘I hope your daddy is watching.’ He proceeded to give me twelve straight points.”
