Boston Celtics are not expected to have Marcus Smart available until after the All-Star Game, per Adrian Wojnarowski. The organization wants Smart to continue rehabilitating his left calf strain through the 5-10 All-Star break.

As a result, Smart will miss the next seven games of the Bostons Celtics with the franchise hoping to have him at the start of the second part of the season.

Boston is on a 5-6 record since Smart’s injury. The veteran guard has the best season of his career this year averaging career highs in points (13.1), assists (6.1) and steals (1.8), being also a dominant force on the defensive side.

Until Smart’s return, Payton Pritchard will continue to receive additional minutes in the guard position alongside Kemba Walker.
