Jusuf Nurkic is still sidelined with a hand injury, however the Blazers’ head coach Terry Stotts claimed he’s progressing well having the ability to remain in basketball shape during his rehab.

Jusuf Nurkic underwent surgery to repair his fractured right wrist on Jan. 19, with the Blazers announcing the Bosnian center was to be sidelined for at least six to eight weeks.

(via ESPN):

“He’s doing well,” coach Terry Stotts said. “The good thing is since it’s a hand injury, he can do aerobic things to stay in basketball shape.”

The Blazers are also missing CJ McCollum due to a foot injury with him also being ruled out indefinitely. Portland conceded their first loss in their last seven games vs. Washington on Saturday.

The team is not expected to share an official update for another two weeks on Nurkic as he continues the rehab on his injured wrist.
