Lakers’ LeBron James on playing without AD: “It’s time for me to adjust”

The Los Angeles Lakers are upon their first challenge of the 2020/21 regular season campaign, after the 94-96 loss to the Miami Heat on Saturday.

Frank Vogel’s team have lost three of the last four games since Anthony Davis went out with injury, which will keep him out for at least four weeks.

LeBron James admitted that he has to adjust to the situation with Davis out for a good amount of time. The loss to Miami dropped the defending champions to No. 3 in the Western Conference standings.

“I think that’s what it all boils down to, and right now is another challenge for me, to be able to adjust,” James said.

“Not having AD for a long period of time is something that we haven’t had over the last year and a half, and now it’s time for me to adjust again and see ways I can be even more effective to help this team win ballgames. Because that is the sport that we’re in.”

The Lakers are also missing their starting point guard Dennis Schröder, who is sidelined due to health and safety protocols.
