The Los Angeles Lakers are having a hard time making their shots, which makes them short-handed against some teams that are able to shoot better.

Over the last 10 games, the reigning NBA champions made 49.6% of their two-pointers and 29.2% of their three-pointers. LeBron James was asked about the reason of his team’s shooting struggles after the Lakers were defeated by the Heat.

“I don’t think there’s any reason for that,” the four-time NBA champion said. “I think our guys are doing a great job of being in the gym. We all put in the work. So it’s not that. If it was that we weren’t putting in the work, then that would be the reason for it. I could say that’s a cause of it. The law averages law averages are even itself out. We had lapses last year. At one point we had during the playoffs as well. We knew we would find our rhythm and we’d do the same this year.”

For James himself, the shooting percentages are 52% of two-pointers and 25% of three-pointers over the last 10 games. His season averages are 50.2% and 36.2%.
