Sixers’ Tobias Harris in awe after Joel Embiid’s career-high performance vs. Bulls

The Philadelphia 76ers secured another tough win thanks to Joel Embiid’s heroics, who finished with a career-high 50 points against the Bulls on Friday.

Tobias Harris, who also had a great game scoring 22, along with 12 rebounds and seven assists, was in awe after Embiid’s tremendous performance.

“It’s an honor really,” said Tobias Harris. “When you look at a guy like that, how dominant he is on the floor, and just his ability to make plays and to score out there, yeah, I’ll tell my kids one day I was playing with Joel Embiid.

When they ask who’s the best play player you played with, I’ll say it’s Joel Embiid. It’s an honor to be out there with him on the floor.”

Embiid is amidst an MVP caliber season leading the 76ers to the top of the East. He averages 30.5 points, 10.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists shooting a career-high 54-percent from the field and 39.7-percent from deep thus far.

The Sixers played without Ben Simmons on Friday and they had a hard time to get any separation from the Bulls as the bench and several crucial role players struggled.

Doc Rivers’ team improved with the win against Chicago remaining one-and-a half games ahead of the Brooklyn Nets. The Sixers play again on Monday in Tampa vs. the Raptors.
