Real Madrid has failed to earn a victory over another Spanish team in the EuroLeague this season.

Real suffered a painful loss to Valencia on the road (89-78) and is now 0-5 against fellow Spanish teams.

Thanks to this win, Valencia climbed to 13-12 in the standings, just outside the playoff zone. Meanwhile, Real dropped to 15-10 and is fourth on the table.

In the other matches, Zenit Saint Petersburg (14-9) survived a late thriller over Crvena Zvezda (7-17) on the road (75-76), while ASVEL Villeurbanne (11-14) rallied past Bayern Munich (15-10) at home (87-79).

At the same time, Fenerbahce (15-10) edged ALBA Berlin (8-17) at home (89-85) and extended its winning streak to 10 games.
