Damian Lillard was once again overlooked by the fans in the All-Star voting with Luka Doncic and Steph Curry being named All-Star starters.

The Portland Trail Blazers’ superstar has been on a tear lately, leading the Blazers to one of the best record in the West (18-10), despite that CJ McCollum and Jusuf Nurkic are out with injuries.

He’s averaging 29.8 points, 7.7 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game hooting 45.1-percent from the field and 38.6-percent from deep.

“When I was younger I cared a lot more,” Lillard said following Friday’s practice. “Obviously, that’s an accomplishment to be an All-Star starter. It’s something that I haven’t done, so of course, I would like to have been named the starter, but I honestly wasn’t surprised.”

Lillard explained further why he is not surprised by such results as he’s getting ‘a shorter end of the stick’, according to him. However, he is focused on the bright side of the story.

“That’s just what the reality is. I think for a lot of people who are saying that, they’ve taken notice of what I’ve done in the Bubble and what I’ve done this year.”
