Alex Caruso of the Los Angeles Lakers is the time of his life. The 26-year-old point guard earn a roster spot on the team despite going undrafted and having to go through the G League.

While at first he was a subject of many memes and used to get the ‘MVP’ chants from the fans, he slowly, but surely, found his way into the rotation.

Now, the 2020 NBA champion is an esteemed member of the Lakers. Caruso’s absence is considered a hit on the team as he is a valuable asset. For the player himself the situation he founds himself in is a dream.

Per Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated:

“I’m living the dream,” says the 26-year-old Caruso, who signed a two-year, $5.5 million deal before last season. “What else do I need? I make a lot of money, I have good friends and family, I win basketball games and I get to travel around the world. This is pretty sweet.”
