Without Anthony Davis and Dennis Schroder the Los Angeles Lakers came up short against the Brooklyn Nets as they lost 98-109. One of the Lakers’ bigs, Montrezl Harrell, played just 15 minutes, which is nine minutes less than his season average.

After the game, LA’s head coach Frank Vogel was asked why he kept the 27-year-old forward on the bench so much. “Well, we couldn’t get anything going at the basket when they matched up [DeAndre] Jordan with him,” he said. “I just wanted a floor spacer to try to bring Jordan away from the basket because we went on a big drought when we went to our second unit.”

Harrell finished the game with 10 points and 3 rebounds in the time that he spent on the court against Brooklyn.
