Zion Williamson is a special player in terms of explosiveness. The 20-year-old sophomore forward is dominating the offense. However, NBA legend Charles Barkley thinks Zion is not using his abilities to full potential in one area of the game.

Chuck has only one problem with Williamson’s game — he uses his explosiveness only on offense. Because of that, he is unable to be a double-digit rebounder.

“First of all, I like Zion a lot. He seems like a great kid. But I’m not sure why he’s not rebounding the ball. He goes games where he gets three or four or five rebounds and he should be a double-digit rebound guy… One of my rules was I never wanted to get less than 10 rebounds a game. I think I went 14 straight years where I averaged double-digit rebounds,” Barkley told Bill Simmons.

“So he’s a lot more explosive than me but he only uses it on offense. He’s got to be a better rebounder. That’s the only problem I have with him.”

In his second season in the NBA, Zion is averaging 25 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. According to Barkley, Williamson should average at least 11-12 rebounds with his explosiveness.
