Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry has nothing but praise about LaMelo Ball’s excellent start in his NBA career. Ball has been sensational since he was inserted in the starting lineup.
The rookie is averaging 20.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 6.3 assists in eight games as a starter. Curry said Ball has surprised many people.
(via NBC Sports):
“He’s playing amazing,” Curry told reporters Tuesday. “There was a lot of talk about what he could show his rookie year. He’s surprising a lot of people.”
The Warriors are expected to get their first look at Ball on Saturday when Golden State visits Charlotte. However, the latest Hornets’ games have been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols.
Golden State had the chance to select Ball in the previous draft, but instead they chose James Wiseman with the second overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft.
Wiseman is out with a wrist injury in the last nine Warriors’ games, however he also had a promising start in his NBA career averaging 12.6 points and 6.1 rebounds per game coming off the bench.
