Andre Roberson will join the Brooklyn Nets, according to Shams Charania. The former teammate of Kevin Durant was a free agent, after OKC did not offer him a new deal the past offseason.

Andre Roberson played with Kevin Durant for three years in Oklahoma. However, the past two seasons he faced a series of injury issues that kept him out of the game.

Roberson is considered a great defender, being a member of the NBA All-Defensive Second Team back on 2017. He has career averages of 4.6 points and 4.0 rebounds in 302 games with the Thunder.

The 29-year-old swingman will add depth and more importantly defense to the Nets’ squad, who is among the worst in the league on the defensive side.

In particular, they’re 28th in opponent points per game allowing 117.7 per contest and 26th in DefRtg, allowing 114 points per 100 possessions.
