Tuesday’s Spurs-Pistons game postponed

The game between the Detroit Pistons and San Antonio Spurs on Feb. 16 has been postponed, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Due to a positive COVID-19 test and contact tracing, the Spurs don’t have the league-required eight available players to proceed with the game.

This is the 24th postponement of the season and the first postponed game in two weeks.

The Spurs are scheduled to play the Cleveland Cavaliers on Feb. 17 and it’s unclear if that game will be affected.

It’s also unclear if the Atlanta Hawks or Charlotte Hornets, who the Spurs recently played, will be affected by the NBA’s contact tracing protocols.

Spurs guard Quinndary Weatherspoon entered the league’s health and safety protocols after playing 10 minutes against the Hawks, but it remains to be seen if he was the player who tested positive.
