Kyle Kuzma had 19 points and eight rebounds coming off the bench for the Los Angeles Lakers in their loss to the Denver Nuggets.

The 25-year-old forward stepped up as Anthony Davis had to leave the game due to an Achilles injury. Lakers head coach Frank Vogel was asked postgame about if Kuzma will be playing a bigger role if AD misses some games.

“Kuz was great tonight. He stepped in and made shots when guys were struggling to make shots,” Vogel said. “Always plays extremely hard with great energy. That’s who we want to be. That’s one of an identity piece we want all our guys to exemplify.

But we got a lot of guys that will step up. If AD misses some time, the guys are going to step up. It’s not going to fall on any one person. We got a lot of firepower and a lot of resources.”
