Immanuel Quickley showed off his range and ability to finish around the basket tonight. He scored 22 points in 21 minutes as the Knicks beat the Rockets 121-99 at Madison Square Garden.

He showed no fear going up against John Wall as he shot 7-9 on field goal attempts, including 4-6 on 3-pointers. The rookie has thrived off the bench this season and has played well in his first two games playing alongside Derrick Rose off the bench.

After years of struggling to find a skilled young point guard, New York may have finally found their guy in Quickley. He is an excellent shooter with a reliable floater and even though he is just 21-years-old he has played like a savvy veteran.

Quickley’s impressive start, Julius Randle’s improved play and Tom Thibodeau’s defensive mentality has the Knicks in the mix for a postseason spot this season. The Knicks are currently 13-15, which is seventh in the Eastern Conference. They have won two games in a row and will look to extend that streak when they play the Hawks Monday night.
