James Harden apologizes for how he forced his way out of Houston

James Harden opened up for the first time since the Rockets shipped him to the Nets, after demanding a trade out of Houston. The Nets’ superstar admitted he has not handled the situation of asking out of Houston the right way.

After spending a month with the Nets, Harden talked to Rachel Nichols on the situation early in the season, Brooklyn’s defensive struggles and his role with the new team.

“I apologize for how it went down but I guess I had to do what I had to do in order to get to where I wanted to go. It ended up the right way. I just didn’t like how that month or two played out.”

Harden feels at home with the Nets, playing alongside Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. He is averaging a career best 11.3 assists, while also dropping 23.9 points per game on the season.

The Nets are set to face the Warriors hoping to continue their good performance in Bay Area, after a blowout win over the Indiana Pacers.
