Ben Simmons had one of the best two-way performances this year against the Portland Trail Blazers and Damian Lillard. The Sixers’ forward locked up the Blazers’ superstar and made a bold statement after the game.
Lillard still finished the contest with 30 points, however he shot a poor 6-out-of-21 from the field with Simmons guarding him most of the time.

The Sixers lost to the Blazers in a close-fought game, where Carmelo Anthony scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to lead his team to a 114-118 win.
Simmons had 23 points. 11 rebounds and nine assists on Thursday’s game in a performance that was clearly his best this season on both ends of the floor.
