Steph Curry shares his thoughts on MVP talk: “The game speaks for itself”

Steph Curry added another impressive showdown as he exploded for 40 points to lead the Golden State Warriors to their second straight win.

The two-time MVP made 14-out-of-26 shots and hit 10 out of his 19 threes in the Golden State Warriors 111-105 win over the Orlando Magic.

Curry is on the midst of one of the best stretches of his career scoring 35.3 points per contest in the last eight games, with his team being in the playoff conversation.

(via ESPN’s Nick Friedel):

“The game speaks for itself,” said Curry. “Those two [MVP] years is the exact same kind of conversation. Obviously, that’s an amazing accomplishment, and being in that conversation with all that we’ve been through these last two years, that means something.

Those narratives make themselves as you go throughout the season, and my job is obviously just be at the level that I expect to be, and usually that means you’re at the top at the end of the season.”

With the Warriors having many ups and downs through the first quarter of the season, Curry is keeping the team afloat as he keeps scoring at will.
