The Los Angeles Lakers survived another close game to secure their sixth consecutive win in the last six games. Frank Vogel’s team won another close-fought battle Wednesday night, in large part thanks to some late-game heroics from LeBron James.

“Every game is going to be its own challenge,” LeBron James said after the OT win over the Thunder. “We don’t mind playing games that go down to the wire, we don’t mind playing games where you’ve got to execute. We have that championship DNA. I mean, it’s good for us to be tested.”

James hit the shot that sent the contest against the Thunder to overtime, while he made a last-second steal to seal the OT win. That was the third straight victory in overtime for the Lakers, who remain the team with the second best record in the tough West.

“I love that no matter who you’re playing against. Teams that take you down to wire, make you execute, you have to be perfect defensively and offensively to win a game. It’s pretty cool. I love it,” James said on the challenges of a close-fought battle in the NBA.

The Lakers are set to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday in hope to put an end to the trend of the consecutive games ending up going in overtime.
