The Dallas Mavericks are having a difficult start of the season. After making the playoffs last year, the Mavs find themselves at the 11th spot in the Western Conference with 12 wins and 14 losses. The team’s star Luka Doncic received criticism for whining and his body language as Dallas was losing.

Sports analyst Stephen A. Smith confronted the 21-year-old Slovenian with a question about the criticism he is getting. Doncic did not shy away and admitted that at least some of it was true.

“I think some of it is true… Especially this year. But I think the last couple of games I’ve been getting better and better. I got to stop this, I knot it’s not right,” Luka said.

“But I think more than whining, I think it’s wanting to win. We were in a bad spot, like I said, six losses in a row. It makes you do things you don’t want to do. I know I did a lot of things wrong and I got to learn from this. I’m still young and I can learn from this.”
