Raptors’ Kyle Lowry lists Toronto home for sale

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry has reportedly put his Toronto mansion up for sale, adding to the recent trade rumors surrounding him.

The house was listed for sale on the afternoon of Feb. 8, according to AllRaptors, part of the Sports Illustrated Network.

A recent report indicated that “a portion” of the Raptors’ personnel believes that they should move on from their franchise leader Lowry.

There’s a time capsule for everybody and everything, said one Western Conference executive, and it’s probably just time to move on.

Lowry, 34, is in the final year of a $30.5 million extension he signed in 2019 and is set to become a free agent after this season.

However, he could be dealt at this year’s trade deadline if the franchise chooses to go in that direction.

Team president Masai Ujiri spoke about Lowry before the season.

“That boy is grand, man. I don’t want to push his retirement,” said Ujiri. “I will say this of Kyle, he’s been incredibly respectful to the organization, and we will have that same incredible respect to Kyle anytime. Every day. There’s no doubt about that.”

In 21 games, Lowry is averaging 17.0 points, 5.7 rebounds (career-high), 6.7 assists and 1.0 steal per game.
