Kyrie Irving will return to action for the Nets in the matchup against the Detroit Pistons Tuesday. Irving was probable to play, due to a right index sprain.

Irving lost Saturday’s Eastern Conference showdown vs. the Philadelphia 76ers, because he suffered a finger sprain vs. the Raptors on Friday.

The Nets’ superstar has had a huge impact on his team’s 14-11 record, however Brooklyn has lost three of the last four games, due to its defensive deficiencies.

He is averaging 27.5 points, 5.7 assists and 4.8 rebounds in 16 games, shooting over 53 percent from the field and over 43 percent from beyond the arc.

The team will face Detroit without Kevin Durant, who is out due to health and safety protocols, and newly acquired guard/forward Iman Shumpert.
